Ebda Store
Products and CSV import
Add a product
From your store in the dashboard, open Products and add a name, price, stock quantity and photos. Prices are in Egyptian pounds with up to two decimals (EGP 249.50).
Import many products
Use Bulk import to upload a CSV or XLSX file.
- Download the CSV template from the import page.
- Fill it in, one product per row. Variants are linked to their parent product by
parentSku. - Upload the file and click Preview Import. Check the table, then confirm. Nothing is saved until you confirm.
Prices (price, compareAtPrice, costPrice) are in Egyptian pounds, written as you would type them: 250, 250.5, 250.50 or 1,250.50 (Arabic digits like ٢٥٠٫٥٠ work too). Use two decimals at most. A price with three decimals, such as 12.500, is rejected as ambiguous because it could mean 12.5 or 12,500. Negative or non-numeric prices are rejected too, and a product row with no price is an error.
The same rules apply to XLSX files, and the file you export from Ebda Store can be edited and uploaded again with the same prices.
Old template (prices in piastres): earlier versions asked for whole piastres (24950 for EGP 249.50). That is no longer the case: 24950 now means EGP 24,950. If you prepared a file under the old instruction, divide the price columns by 100. The preview shows every price in EGP and warns you when the file looks about 100 times more expensive than your current products.
Import from Shopify
Export your products from Shopify and upload that CSV as it is. Ebda Store recognises the Shopify layout (Handle, Title, Body (HTML), ...) and groups rows by Handle into products with variants.
- Shopify prices are in pounds:
4850.00and4,850.00both work. - At most two decimals. A third decimal is reported as a row error and is never silently rounded.
- Image links (
Image Src) are kept as links to the original image. They are not copied into Ebda Store storage yet, so keep the original images online.
When a row has a problem
A bad row does not stop the import. The rest of the file is imported and each problem row is reported against its line number in your file, so you can fix and re-upload just those rows.
Export
You can export your products to CSV at any time from the same area.
