Account security
Password and email
Use a password with at least 8 characters, upper and lower case letters, a number and a symbol. Your email must be verified before you can set up a store.
Forgot your password
- On the sign-in page, tap Forgot password?
- Enter the email you use for Ebda Store and send the link. You always see the same "check your email" message, whether or not the address has an account. That is on purpose: the page never tells anyone which emails are registered.
- Open the email from Ebda Store (no-reply@ebda.app) and tap the button. The link works once and expires after 15 minutes. If you asked more than once, use the newest email.
- Choose a new password (same rules as above), type it twice and save.
After the reset you are signed out on every device, including the browser you used. Sign in again with the new password. If you use two-step verification, you still need your code: resetting the password does not turn MFA off. A reset also clears a lockout, so the new password works right away.
You can request a reset link 3 times an hour per email. No email? Check your spam folder, wait a few minutes, or write to ahlan@ebda.app.
Two-step verification (MFA)
You can protect your account with an authenticator app (a 6-digit code that changes every 30 seconds).
- Start setup from your account page and scan the secret with your authenticator app.
- Enter a code from the app to finish.
- Save your backup codes. They are shown once. Each backup code works one time if you lose your phone.
MFA is optional for merchants. Platform staff accounts are required to use it. You can turn it off later, with a valid code.
Lockout
After 5 failed sign-ins your account is locked for 15 minutes. This protects you from password guessing. Wait, then try again, or reset your password. Sign-in attempts are also rate limited.
Good habits
- Do not share your password or codes with anyone, including anyone claiming to be from Ebda Store.
- Sign out on shared devices.
- If you think someone else got in, reset your password and contact support at the address in the footer.
